On October 26, under the escort of road administration enforcement vehicles and police cars, a large transport vehicle measuring 97 meters in length and weighing a total of 582 tons entered the highway from the Apangong toll station in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, with its destination being Huangling, approximately 225 kilometers away. This is also the first and largest heavy transport project approved in Shaanxi Province this year.

The large transport vehicle is carrying a large transformer, which is the core equipment needed for the 660,000-kilowatt coal-fired unit of the Shaanxi Coal Huangling Diantou Power Plant, a key construction project during the 14th Five-Year Plan in Shaanxi Province. The safe and timely arrival of the equipment will ensure the northward shift of thermal power in Shaanxi Province and accelerate the economic structural transformation and development of the old revolutionary area in Yan'an. After receiving the application for this heavy transport, the provincial transportation department quickly established a working group to provide high-quality licensing services for the enterprise. To ensure the safe passage of this "behemoth," the provincial transportation department, provincial highway bureau, provincial highway law enforcement team, and Shaanxi Traffic Control Group organized professional technical teams to survey the transport route, calculated the load capacity of 125 highway bridges, and held joint review meetings with public security traffic management, emergency departments, highway operation management units, and review experts to repeatedly refine the transport escort guarantee plan, organizing joint escort by transportation and public security traffic management departments throughout the process. To fully ensure the success of this heavy transport task, the provincial highway law enforcement team established an escort working group, mobilized three road law enforcement teams and their respective law enforcement squads along the route, deployed six law enforcement vehicles, and 18 law enforcement personnel, implementing a system of designated personnel, vehicles, times, and locations, escorting in coordination with public traffic police.

It is understood that to fully support the service guarantee for heavy transport in the industrial chain and supply chain, as of the end of September, Shaanxi Province had completed 90,120 heavy transport permits and provided escort guarantees for 50 heavy transports over 200 tons, with all escort vehicles arriving safely.
